The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act

On January 2, 2011, the President signed into law the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act (Public Law 111-247). The Zadroga Act modified the Public Health Service Act to extend and improve protections and services to individuals directly affected by the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.
The Zadroga Act also:
•Established the WTC Health Program (the Program)
•Reopened the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF)
